Filmmaking: A perfect example of a badly shot short film (bad cinematographer)

Filmmaking: A perfect example of a badly shot short film (bad cinematographer)

So, I’ve decided to share this one to the world 4 years after I helped out on this project.

***DISCLAIMER: I’m not intending to offend any of the actors or the crew. It’s purely regarding my personal experience as an inexperienced cinematographer who had more passion than experience lol***

I was attached on this short film (I feel uncomfortable for typing this even) as the cinematographer. A few years ago, as an aspiring filmmaker and as a naive film student who was thirsty for portfolio, I enthusiastically jumped onboard without really thinking through.

Just to be clear, I didn’t regret it. But, it does make me CRINGE when I watch this and the fact that I’ve actually went for it and shot the whole thing. The whole thing makes me feel so stupid, but then again, it was a learning process that I had to go through.

Filmmaking is fun, and would say yes to making more films in a heartbeat. Looking forward to returning to filmmaking.

Leanne is the director / writer of this film. She put a lot of trust in me, and I really appreciated it. Otherwise, I would have one less place to channel my passion back then.

Try to enjoy it! (Or if not, that’s fine. Who cares)
